Estrella Galicia, a 100‑year‑old, family‑owned Spanish beverage group with rapid international growth, faced fragmented document storage and no enterprise‑wide document management. Accounts Payable handled thousands of invoices monthly across network drives and proprietary systems, creating bottlenecks and a need for an open‑source, scalable, partner‑backed solution that could be extended to other departments.

Working with integrator Queres, Estrella Galicia implemented Alfresco Content Services with mobile iOS apps, a CMIS vendor portal and integrations to its ERP via web services. The platform accelerated invoice access and approvals, enabled remote mobile approvals, and now manages 150,000+ documents (~24+ GB); it’s been rolled into Quality Control and Health & Safety with at least one department added yearly, delivering time savings, easier workflows and scalable growth.
