Moving from Paper to Digital Insurance Underwriting with Alfresco

Credendo, the official Belgian export credit agency, needed to modernize its Underwriting & Account Management department, which still relied on paper files and locally stored documents. The department required faster, more accurate evaluations and a transparent, end-to-end view of decision-making—plus a solution that could interface with its existing SAP financial master data—so Credendo engaged AMPLEXOR to replace ad hoc paper processes with a digital case management system.

Using Alfresco as the platform, AMPLEXOR delivered an agile, sprint-based implementation with department “ambassadors,” a lightweight SAP integration, and prioritized functionality (document management, metadata, reminders, simple workflows, search, and Excel-capable reporting). The result was a well-received case management solution built largely within budget that improved case visibility, reporting and search, and provided management with transparent follow-up of case handling.
