Case Study: KIOXIA Corporation achieves faster, more adaptable semiconductor design with Alfresco Content Services

KIOXIA, a global leader in NAND flash memory and SSD production, faced mounting pressure to accelerate semiconductor design cycles while protecting product quality. Its Circuit Design Department relied on a traditional V-model waterfall approach that proved inflexible, inefficient, and stifled designers’ autonomy—making it hard to respond quickly to market and technology changes.

KIOXIA piloted a hybrid Agile approach using Jira for task management and Alfresco (with Ricksoft’s Alfresco Connector for Jira) for secure document control. Rolled out from a small pilot in IT and circuit design, the integrated solution is now used daily, improving responsiveness, efficiency, team self-management, secure handling of large files, and IT oversight—allowing faster, higher-quality development and broader adoption across departments.
