Case Study: Anderson Hospital achieves facility-wide, reliable emergency notifications with Alertus Technologies

A Alertus Technologies Case Study

Preview of the Anderson Hospital Case Study

Building an Emergency Notification Infrastructure

Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois faced gaps in its overhead paging coverage and needed a way to ensure staff received emergency and non-emergency alerts regardless of location. The hospital selected Alertus Technologies and its Alertus System—starting with Alertus Desktop Notification—to extend reach beyond existing pagers and build a scalable notification infrastructure.

Alertus Technologies implemented Alertus Desktop Notification, integrated the hospital’s third‑party text messaging and overhead paging through the Alertus System, and added a Fire Panel Control Interface with Text‑to‑Speech. The single-point activation and preprogrammed, color‑coded messages deliver facility-wide alerts in seconds, reduce operator workload, and are used for tornado warnings, infant abduction drills and fire alarms—providing faster, more consistent, and reliably tested notifications across all endpoints.
