Ballarat Clarendon College, a K–12 co-educational day and boarding school in Ballarat, Victoria with 1,200+ students, needed a reliable mass notification capability because it previously relied on manual alerts and its Junior School classrooms had no phones. To protect students, staff, and boarders around the clock the school selected Alertus Technologies’ mass notification solution, deploying the Alertus System across campus.

Alertus Technologies implemented a suite including the Alertus System with Enhanced Notification Service (ENS), Alertus Desktop Activator, USB and hardwired panic buttons, the Alert Beacon®, and the Alertus Mobile Recipient and Activator App, integrated with Active Directory and server monitoring. The deployment lets staff trigger alerts anywhere without phones and automatically sends SMS, desktop takeovers, and emails; it has been used several times for anaphylaxis events on the Junior campus, delivering immediate mass notification for life‑threatening asthma and allergy incidents and prompting the school to expand the system to all laptops.
