Kent School, an independent college-preparatory boarding and day school in Kent, Connecticut, needed a faster way to activate mass notifications during severe weather. Its legacy speaker-based system could not communicate a real-time safety hazard quickly enough, and the school also needed better targeting for specific buildings and stronger volume control across phone systems. Alertus Technologies provided the notification platform.

With Alertus Technologies, Kent School connected its Fire Alarm Control Panel with Text-to-Speech, extended alerts to speakers in older buildings, tied into an existing outdoor PA system, and added a High Power Speaker Array for athletic fields. The school also deployed Alert Beacon and LED Marquees in common areas and a Rapid Response Console at the front gate security booth, resulting in campus-wide notification coverage, stronger trust in the system, and a cost-effective solution backed by responsive support.
