Tarrant County College District, a public community college in Tarrant County, Texas, needed a better way to distribute emergency alerts across multiple campuses and locations. Its older email alert system did not provide enough coverage as the campus facilities and emergency management department grew, so the district turned to Alertus Technologies and its Desktop Notification offering.

Alertus Technologies helped Tarrant County College District expand its mass notification system with Alertus Desktop, 300 Alert Beacons, 5,000 Cisco phones for VoIP Phone integration, Digital Signage, Microsoft Teams Integration, and Fire Alarm Control Panel Integration. The district also uses the AlertAware Mobile App to send push notifications to thousands of students, and the system now reaches 17,000 computers across campuses. TCCD uses Alertus about 50-75 times a year and has relied on it for 13 years to improve coverage, support drills, and send critical instructions during outages and other emergencies.
