Moss Construction Builds a Proactive Safety Culture With AlertMedia

Moss Construction needed a better way to communicate with a dispersed workforce across 7 offices and 60 active sites. Email-only communication was not fast enough for emergencies, severe weather, or rapidly changing incidents, especially after an active shooter event and as the company grew to more than 1,200 employees.

Moss adopted AlertMedia’s emergency communication software and global threat intelligence to send targeted alerts by email, text message, phone call, and mobile app. The system syncs with Moss’ HR directory and lets the company create location-specific groups, helping it quickly identify at-risk employees, including four workers who were moved to a hotel before Hurricane Lane. Moss says AlertMedia improved the speed and accuracy of its notifications while reducing administrative work and helping keep employees and their families safe.
