TTC Carries Out Phased Digital Transformation To Modernize Its Network

Tuvalu Telecommunications Corporation (TTC), the state-owned telecom operator in Tuvalu, wanted to modernize its aging ADSL network and expand services beyond fixed-line and legacy mobile offerings. To support faster speeds, better connectivity, and a consistent experience across different handset types, TTC worked with Alepo and Blue Arcus, using Alepo’s Digital BSS to begin the transformation with LTE and WiFi and later extend the platform to all services.

Alepo implemented a phased, convergent billing and charging solution for TTC covering fixed-line, GSM, LTE, VoLTE, and WiFi, along with CRM, self-care, AAA, mediation, and policy control capabilities. The deployment also integrated with IMS for VoLTE and PayPal for payments, enabling zero-downtime migration, a unified customer experience, and new plans and promotions. TTC reported significantly increased revenue within three months, lower churn, and reduced OPEX and TCO, while also launching Tuvalu’s first commercial VoLTE service.
