A Alepo Case Study
BLU Telecommunications, a Ghanaian greenfield operator, needed to launch one of the country’s first 4G LTE networks under a strict 18-month regulatory deadline while competing against major incumbents. To move quickly and still differentiate its offer, BLU turned to Alepo for a pre-integrated “LTE in a Box” solution covering LTE and WiFi hotspot data services, along with the core policy, charging, AAA, and BSS/OSS capabilities needed to deliver and monetize the new network.
Alepo implemented its LTE in a Box platform for BLU, including PCRF, OCS/OFCS, AAA, Service Enabler, self-care portals, and integration services for third-party systems such as Huawei LTE RAN, GorillaBox video, expressPay, Avaya, and Cisco/Meraki WiFi. With Alepo, BLU launched ahead of its regulatory deadline and introduced advanced plans such as video on demand, tiered bandwidth, app bundles, WiFi passes, and more, gaining a flexible, scalable foundation for future services and technologies.
