Multiplex, a leading global construction company based in Sydney, Australia, needed a better way to manage more than 350 permits a day across six sites. Its manual permit-to-work process using notepads and Excel created a heavy administrative burden, slowed operations, and left limited real-time visibility of contractor status. Alcumus Info Exchange, part of Alcumus, was used to help address these challenges.

Alcumus implemented the Info Exchange Permit to Work module, enabling Multiplex to review permits remotely and track status more efficiently through filters such as approved or rejected. This reduced time spent on a previously laborious task, improved visibility, and cut delays caused by manual logging. The efficiencies were significant enough that Multiplex began rolling out additional Alcumus modules to support its wider supply chain and EHSQ strategy.
