How Alcumus Sypol Supported AB Agri's Expanding International Operation

AB Agri, the agricultural division of Associated British Foods, was struggling to manage COSHH across a rapidly growing, multinational operation of 17 sites in five countries. Their in‑house approach—multiple databases and safety data sheets—created a backlog of assessments, duplicated work and a one‑dimensional risk view, with each COSHH assessment taking around 60 minutes to create. To address this, AB Agri selected Alcumus Sypol and its COSHH Management System (CMS).

Alcumus Sypol implemented the CMS across AB Agri’s sites, uploading hundreds of existing assessments and training the team to structure and use the system at both group and site levels. As a result, Alcumus Sypol delivered a standardised, scalable solution that makes nearly 2,500 product assessments accessible across locations, uses pictorial worker sheets to overcome language barriers, reduces time spent on data entry and gives AB Agri greater confidence in monitoring and reporting COSHH compliance.
