DFDS Uses Alcide to Secure Cluster Deployments in Multiple Dev Team Environment

DFDS, a European leader in passenger sea transport, freight shipping, and cargo logistics, needed a way to secure and manage nearly 500 Kubernetes-based microservice deployments across multiple independent development teams in Denmark, England, and Turkey. To support visibility, collaboration, and fast execution in a complex EKS environment, the company turned to Alcide and its Kubernetes Advisor and Microservices Firewall products.

Alcide implemented Kubernetes Advisor to provide continuous cluster vulnerability scanning, policy checks, and live hygiene monitoring, while Microservices Firewall helped DFDS define and enforce network policies at build time across workloads and clusters. As a result, DFDS improved productivity, reduced deployment risk, detected misconfigurations and hygiene drifts earlier, and secured production pipelines without delaying releases.
