Case Study: Fortmatic achieves 3–4x faster end-user performance and saves 90 hours/month with Alchemy

A Alchemy Case Study

Preview of the Fortmatic Case Study

Fortmatic - Customer Case Study

Fortmatic, which built an SDK to let users interact with dapps from any browser or device, was spending 60–90 hours a month (about 2–3 hours a day) fixing unreliable node infrastructure: flaky WebSocket connections that required daily reconnect workarounds, nightly backfills for missed transactions, and breaking, unannounced provider version changes. To meet their requirements for limited vendor lock-in, risk-free onboarding, and future-proofing, Fortmatic evaluated and adopted Alchemy’s ETH endpoints, infrastructure, and client-side tooling.

Alchemy provided always-up infrastructure, more reliable WebSocket connections, a client library that auto-handles disconnects, and ultra-responsive engineering support. As a result, Fortmatic retired its workarounds, reclaimed roughly 90 hours per month, removed ~90% of internal validation/processing, and made the end-user experience 3–4x faster (actions now appear in ~7 seconds vs 20–30 seconds); Fortmatic has processed over 1.5 billion queries to date with Alchemy.
