The City of Reno, the local government of northern Nevada, had outgrown basic Microsoft SharePoint task lists used on its intranet—SharePoint could not notify assignees or maintain clear task status and history for Council Assignments. To replace that functionality, IT leadership selected Alcea Technologies' FIT HelpDesk as a simpler, browser-based alternative to complex project-management tools.
