GX Technology, a leader in PreSDM seismic imaging, needed a cost-effective, easy-to-use issue-tracking tool that would gain buy-in from both users and management and require minimal IT administration. Previous attempts (including Bugzilla) failed due to low adoption and a culture of informal, in-person problem reporting. GX Technology selected Alcea Technologies’ FIT Tracking Solutions (FIT software) with the Database Module to address these challenges.

Alcea Technologies implemented FIT to track software problems and workarounds and to organize peer reviews, data testcases, and processing scripts across centers. The FIT system centralized information, kept issues from falling through the cracks, enabled quick identification of relevant testcases via powerful search, and reduced duplicated effort on scripts and processes—results that GX Technology found cost-effective and widely embraced by users.
