Better Living Health and Community Services, a non-profit serving Toronto’s North York region, needed to modernize its outdated software to better support increasingly tech-savvy clients and improve operations across home and community care. The organization, which offers services such as personal support, home cleaning, transportation, Meals on Wheels, and palliative care, turned to AlayaCare after a competitive RFP to find a web-based solution that could better integrate its care delivery and hospice services.
AlayaCare implemented a multi-tenant home and community care platform with a mobile app for front-line PSWs, real-time scheduling, digitized client assessments, and Electronic Visit Verification (EVV). The results were significant: Better Living cut new client intake from 45 minutes to 15 minutes and reduced payroll processing from three hours to one hour per week, while also improving staff efficiency and reducing back-and-forth with the office.
