How BNP Paribas boosted engagement in their employee volunteering and giving program

BNP Paribas in Switzerland wanted to strengthen employee engagement in its CSR program, but faced challenges in boosting participation, expanding the range of volunteering opportunities, and managing the workload involved. To support this, the bank partnered with Alaya and introduced a digital employee volunteering and giving platform.

Alaya implemented an all-in-one platform that let employees find and register for field volunteering, skills-based and online volunteering, and monetary or in-kind donations in one place, while also providing operational and nonprofit ecosystem support to the CSR team. The result was nearly 40% employee activation on the platform; in 2019, 260 employees contributed more than 850 hours of working time to local nonprofit organizations.
