VillageCare, a New York not-for-profit healthcare organization, needed to improve data quality and governance so clinical and operational teams could rely on accurate, timely information for care delivery and reporting. As data volume grew, the team faced redundant sources, siloed reporting, and a need for a single source of truth across AWS data and Tableau reports. VillageCare used Alation as its data catalog and governance platform to address these challenges.

Alation helped VillageCare build a shared business glossary, catalog metadata, and centralize documentation, policies, and trusted Tableau content in one place. VillageCare also integrated Anomalo with Alation to surface real-time data quality alerts directly in the Alation interface, making stewardship more efficient and proactive. The results included a 254% increase in Alation usage over 12 months and an average of 4,400 Compose queries per month, showing stronger data culture and faster self-service analytics.
