NCache Provides High Availability and Consistency to DOB Systems Business Model

DOB Systems, a provider of airline business intelligence (MIDAS), was struggling with session loss, limited scalability and forced “sticky” load balancing because sessions were stored InProc on web servers. To meet its 99.9% uptime SLA and avoid customer impact from server failures, DOB Systems selected Alachisoft’s NCache in-memory distributed cache to move ASP.NET session and application data out-of-process and eliminate single-server session loss.

Alachisoft implemented NCache using a Partition-Replica topology across two replicated cache servers (load-balanced at the web tier), enabling out-of-process session state, seamless failover and true round-robin load balancing. The deployment raised uptime from ~95% to 99.9%, supported over 87,000 monthly transactions, cut application-related errors by 65%, improved application performance by 30%, and reduced triage time so DOB Systems could focus on new features and customer experience.
