NCache Provides Fast Customer Response and Website Stability To Telenor Denmark

Telenor Denmark, a major telecommunications operator serving internal agents and about two million external users through a large ASP.NET MVC “One Screen App,” faced painfully slow website responses caused by a Java-based middleware and backend APIs. To address frequent slow product pages and session loss during maintenance, Telenor turned to Alachisoft and its NCache distributed in-memory caching product.

Alachisoft’s NCache was deployed for both data and session caching (two dedicated NCache servers, POR async topology) and later used for output caching, storing serialized REST responses so the web tier no longer had to hit the slow middleware or database for frequent requests. The result, according to Telenor, is dramatically faster page builds and “super snappy” customer response, reliable session replication during maintenance, and cost-effective continuous availability — enabling Telenor to maintain 100% uptime and much-improved stability and performance.
