Liebherr (Liebherr‑MCCtec GmbH), which runs a global intranet for its maritime crane division, needed 24/7 availability and future scalability for session and application data. Their ASP.NET StateServer and SQL Server approach created single points of failure, slow database round‑trips and required duplicate servers and expensive licenses. To address this, they turned to Alachisoft and its NCache distributed cache.

Alachisoft implemented NCache as a clustered, partition‑replicate in‑memory cache on every IIS server, synchronizing session data and storing the intranet menu/sitemap to avoid SQL round trips.
