Banner Health partnered with Akumina to modernize its outdated intranet and create a better digital workplace for employees. The existing platform was difficult to use, with employees reporting trouble finding information, poor search results, stale content, and a need for access outside the VPN and on mobile devices.
Using Akumina’s Employee Experience Platform (EXP) on SharePoint Online and Office 365, Banner Health built Banner Connect, a branded digital front door with improved navigation, enterprise search, profiles, collaboration tools, and secure mobile access. Akumina helped Banner Health deliver a more flexible, personalized employee experience, and the company estimated the new platform would save more than $6.2 million annually by improving usability and everyday tasks like search.
