LIC Engineering, a leading engineering company, collaborated with Akselos to address the challenge of aging Oil & Gas assets that are operating beyond their design life. They needed a solution to create an optimized digital thread to better manage these critical structures.
Akselos implemented its predictive Digital Twin technology, which was complemented by proprietary plug-in modules developed by LIC Engineering. This collaboration, part of a joint industry project, successfully unlocked over 15 years of structural life extension for an asset in the Southern North Sea. The Akselos solution optimized inspection and maintenance, reduced unplanned downtime, and lowered operational expenditures for the client.
