Ramen builds on Akka to provide network-as-a-service to uncarpeted enterprises

Ramen needed to deliver a resilient Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform for “uncarpeted” enterprises operating in harsh, distributed environments with thousands of IoT devices and strict SLA requirements. To support this global, cloud-managed service, Ramen built its AI-driven portal on Akka, using Akka HTTP, Akka actors, and Akka Streams to handle telemetry, monitoring, and orchestration at scale.

With Akka, Ramen implemented a scalable, responsive architecture that could process real-time data, detect anomalies, and automate remediation across multiple wireless technologies. The result was SLA-backed connectivity for tens of thousands of users and devices, with Akka helping Ramen expand globally while reducing concerns around scaling, latency, and data transformation.
