A Akka Case Study
Klubraum, a B2C app for organizing events, needed to build a world-class application that could securely manage complex, real-time data for hundreds of thousands of users. The challenge for their small development team was to create a system that could handle large, interrelated data flows and scale reliably without a large team or outside funding. They turned to the vendor Akka for a solution.
Using Akka, the team built a distributed backend that delivered 10-12 interrelated microservices per user. The Akka platform provided simplified concurrency, automatic failure recovery, and easy scalability. As a result, Klubraum achieved enterprise-class results, serving over 200,000 users across 10,000+ groups with 99.9999% availability, all while accelerating development with a small, high-performing team.
