Fortanix, a data security firm, needed to achieve ISO 27001 compliance to reinforce customer trust and meet urgent contractual obligations. The manual process for previous certifications like SOC 2 had been tedious. They partnered with the vendor Akitra, seeking an automated solution using their Akitra Andromeda compliance automation platform.

Akitra implemented a customized approach to automated evidence collection and provided a comprehensive set of policies tailored to Fortanix's stringent security standards. This solution enabled Fortanix to achieve ISO 27001 compliance far more efficiently. As a result, they were able to close customer deals dependent on the certification. Additionally, having the compliance in hand drastically reduced the time required to onboard new customers, cutting lengthy security questionnaires down to just a few questions.
