A AkitaBox Case Study
Wood County Wisconsin, which manages nine county buildings totaling 375,000 sq ft, was stuck in a reactive, paper-based maintenance cycle with inaccurate asset and facility data and no reliable asset tracking. After rejecting a large CMMS for usability reasons, the county selected AkitaBox to address these challenges and modernize its maintenance program.
AkitaBox implemented a user-friendly CMMS with location-based asset mapping and a 90-day onsite data collection and upload, giving Wood County a single source for equipment records, floor plans, and work orders. The county now tracks 4,057 assets, completes about 578 work orders per month, and has reduced reactive work (Reactive vs PM 0.46 YTD), enabling more preventive maintenance, faster onboarding, and time savings across departments.
