Buckeye Elementary School District - Customer Case Study

Buckeye Elementary School District, a Pre K–8 district in Buckeye, Arizona serving 5,400 students across nine schools, faced inefficient paper-based work order tracking and spreadsheet-dependent asset records that wasted staff time, hindered prioritization, and made onboarding and bringing new buildings online difficult. To modernize facilities management and provide an easy-to-use field experience, the district chose AkitaBox’s facility management software, favoring its minimal iPad-friendly interface and data-validation/on-site collection services.

AkitaBox delivered a 90-day implementation that included on-site data collection, Revit-modeled floor plans, asset pinning, a custom preventive maintenance program, and staff training with a dedicated Customer Success Manager. The district has since captured 1,258+ assets, completes at least 25 work orders daily, improved its reactive-to-preventive ratio to 2.6:1, achieved a 1:15 opened-to-closed work order rate, and reduced labor time (e.g., saving up to two hours locating shutoff valves), demonstrating clear operational and efficiency gains from AkitaBox.
