EMKA, the world market leader for closures, hinges and seals, struggled with scattered product information across sites, departments and systems that produced inaccurate, inconsistent and hard-to-access content—slowing time-to-market and increasing costs. To address this, EMKA selected Akeneo and its Akeneo PIM in 2016 to create a single, centralized source of product truth.
Akeneo implemented a PIM that standardized and categorized data, automatically linked assets (images, CAD files, descriptions), and integrated with EMKA’s ERP, translation system and Magento channel. The result: 15,000 customer-facing SKUs centralized for 3–4 daily users, markedly improved data accuracy, consistency and collaboration, faster catalog expansion and localization, and reduced costs and production time—enabling quicker product rollouts and international growth with Akeneo.
