Myer, Australia’s oldest and largest department store, struggled with inconsistent, low‑quality product information, siloed spreadsheets and file transfers, and suppliers who lacked visibility into enrichment — causing products to reach stores or clearance before going online. To address this, Myer selected Akeneo’s Product Information Management (PIM) solution to standardize supplier data, improve compliance with style guidelines, and accelerate time‑to‑market.

Akeneo implemented a customized PIM, trained suppliers to upload and enrich data directly, and introduced grading/scoring and automated enrichment workflows. As a result Akeneo helped Myer cut average enrichment time from more than 28 days to under 7 days (a 400% improvement), reduce per‑product manual time from ~20 minutes to almost zero, raise enrichment from ~30% to ~60%, improve product data quality and customer experience, and strengthen supplier relationships.
