Petra, a long-established distributor offering products across more than 60 categories, struggled with unorganized product information trapped in silos, slow onboarding of new SKUs, and inconsistent data that hindered an eCommerce platform migration. To address these challenges Petra selected Akeneo and implemented Akeneo PIM to centralize and manage product information.
Akeneo implemented a single system of record—organizing product data via families and channels and connecting ERP and suppliers through an Akeneo PIM / OroCommerce connector—enabling more than 20 users to manage roughly 30,000 products from 600+ suppliers. The result: enrichment time fell from several weeks to a single day, migration to OroCommerce was simplified, and Petra saw improved product experiences that drove increased sales and decreased returns thanks to Akeneo.
