Lagardère Travel Retail, a global airport luxury retailer operating 350 stores across 18 countries, needed to expose and enrich its product catalog outside stores and centralize product information fed from its ERP and suppliers for multiple channels (Magento e‑commerce, mobile apps, interactive terminals). To meet this challenge it selected Akeneo and implemented Akeneo PIM to create a single, channel‑aware product database and automate product data imports and enrichments.
Akeneo connected the ERP, suppliers’ files, Magento and other channels, letting suppliers and marketing teams enrich data directly in the PIM; the six‑month project covered ~30,000 products with three contributors and delivered high marketing adoption, improved product data quality and 50% increased productivity. By automating imports/exports and enabling mass content distribution, Akeneo helped Lagardère Travel Retail speed time‑to‑market, become marketing‑self‑sufficient and confidently expand its product catalog.
