INTERSPORT develops its omnichannel strategy thanks to Akeneo's PIM

INTERSPORT, the leading French sports retail cooperative with 813 stores and 15,000 employees, needed to digitize its product catalog and move away from Excel-based enrichment. Facing an omnichannel catalog of 50,000+ products and large volumes of attributes, INTERSPORT engaged Akeneo to deploy a Product Information Management (PIM) solution to improve online visibility and support its omnichannel strategy.

Akeneo implemented its PIM starting in 2018 to centralize and enrich product information, replace fragmented Excel workflows, and feed real-time data to both eCommerce and in‑store systems. The Akeneo PIM now supports about 50 users and 50,000+ products, prevents duplication, improves cross-team collaboration, expands the online catalog (increasing visibility and additional sales opportunities for 350 cooperative members), and frees employees to focus on higher‑value tasks while enabling better omnichannel monitoring.
