How Group Ici Scaled Product Experiences and Reduced Returns with Akeneo Activation

Group Ici needed to move beyond spreadsheets to scale product experiences, speed up marketplace launches, and improve the accuracy and localization of its product data. Working with Akeneo and its Activation product, the company aimed to expand into new channels and reduce returns while supporting cross-border growth.

Akeneo implemented Activation to automate translation, channel-specific mapping, and marketplace publishing. The results were significant: Group Ici cut launch time for its first marketplace, Mondial Tissus, from more than a month to just four days, reduced return rates by 50%, and expanded from 300 SKUs to more than 900. Akeneo also helped enable a new wallpaper collection expected to lift sales by 10–20% and drove immediate demand for the Charlie Suzy brand across marketplaces.
