The Defiant, a leading Web3 journalism platform, sought to secure its extensive archive of articles from the risks of being altered, lost, or deplatformed on traditional cloud storage. To address this challenge, the customer partnered with vendor Akave to utilize Akave Cloud's verifiable media storage service.

Akave implemented a solution using its S3-compatible Akave Cloud to upload The Defiant’s archives as immutable, encrypted, and content-addressed objects. These files are backed by the Filecoin network for long-term durability with cryptographic proofs, creating a verifiable and tamper-proof onchain audit trail. This ensures the permanent preservation of the publisher's content in its original form, setting a new standard for trustworthy journalism.
