Grant Thornton Enables User-Centric Security and Supports Multiple Authentication Needs with Akamai Enterprise Application Access

Grant Thornton, a global professional services firm and Ireland’s fastest-growing practice, needed a more secure, user-friendly way to grant diverse client teams access to its hosted Relativity eDiscovery platform while meeting GDPR and jurisdictional requirements. The firm was struggling with multiple point-to-point VPNs, IP allowlisting that broke for mobile users, hard-to-manage deprovisioning, and growing support overhead as it added more clients and cloud-based services.

Working with CTI Global, Grant Thornton deployed Akamai Enterprise Application Access as part of a Dublin-hosted solution to provide identity-based access, SSO, multi-factor authentication, auditing, and monitoring. The rollout dramatically reduced the number of VPNs managed, cut access‑management time by about one-third, improved client experience and remote connectivity, and established a future-proof, Zero Trust–ready secure access model.
