Blueport Commerce delivers stellar localized online experience with Akamai Dynamic Site Accelerator

Blueport Commerce is a managed e‑commerce provider specializing in localized, big‑ticket retail (furniture and other large items), serving hundreds of retailers and thousands of stores. Its sites are rich, interactive and highly localized, but with a single Boston data center and a limited CDN footprint clients were experiencing 6.5–8 second load times. Blueport needed to deliver fast, dynamic, localized experiences everywhere without building out more infrastructure.

Blueport implemented Akamai Dynamic Site Accelerator and Content Targeting, completing the first rollout in under a month and now onboarding new clients in about a week. As a result, localized pages now load in under one second on average, Blueport offloads up to 90% of traffic to Akamai (saving thousands per day), can cache localized search results at the edge, and supports greater personalization and scalability without new data centers.
