Adobe launched Adobe TV to educate and inspire creative professionals with daily instructional and promotional videos, but faced the challenge of quickly publishing new content to multiple channels while ensuring a flawless, high-quality viewing experience for a global audience and enabling nontechnical staff to manage frequent updates.
By adopting Akamai Stream OS and the Akamai Media Framework, Adobe automated metadata-driven publishing (including trial-download links), leveraged RSS feeds for the Adobe Media Player, and built a custom player and syndication workflow. The solution enabled a five-month launch, streamlined multi-channel publishing (2–6 new videos each weekday), supported over 1.3 million unique users and 21+ million views in two months, and helped achieve a nearly 10% trial-download conversion rate while maintaining consistent, high-quality playback.
