My Gun’s Been Moved, a company focused on gun safety, faced the challenge of preventing firearm accidents in homes with children. They needed a solution that would provide both security and rapid access, avoiding the trade-off between a locked safe and an unsecured nightstand. They partnered with engineering firm AJProTech to develop a technologically sound product to resolve this dilemma.

AJProTech designed and developed the SmartPad, a connected device that monitors a firearm's position and sends instant alerts to a mobile app. Their comprehensive solution included feasibility studies, industrial design, and the development of all hardware, firmware, and software. The project was highly successful, resulting in a functional product that won the Black Ambition Prize, was showcased at CES 2023, and exceeded its goals in a crowdfunding campaign.
