Microsensor Labs launches a hospital hygiene IoT system with AJProTech in 12-month battery-powered trials

AJProTech partnered with Microsensor Labs, a leading medicine innovation center, to address the challenge of hand hygiene compliance in hospitals. The customer's challenge was that hospitals relied on costly and labor-intensive direct observation to measure compliance, as data showed U.S. healthcare providers clean their hands less than half of the times they should.

AJProTech developed the Sanibit IoT system, which includes connected wristbands for staff and wall-mounted Smart Drip Trays. The solution uses Bluetooth Low Energy to detect hand sanitizing routines and provides gentle reminders to workers. AJProTech led the hardware engineering and pilot production, delivering a system that successfully passed clinical tests in Chicago and was recommended for future use by hospitals.
