Asesso Health sought to address the widespread issue of teeth grinding (bruxism) and Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder by creating a device for detection and prevention. The challenge was to accurately monitor jaw movements during sleep and provide a personalized solution. Partnering with AJProTech, they aimed to develop a comprehensive system involving a sensor and a custom-fitted dental splint.

AJProTech designed and engineered a solution featuring a compact sensor module that attaches to the jaw to collect grinding data, a desktop application for creating 3D-printed custom splints, and a smart charging case with UV disinfection. The vendor's work covered the full development cycle, including industrial, mechanical, and firmware design. The project resulted in a successful pilot run of 1,000 units, attracted significant investment for Asesso Health, and made the product available to hundreds of customers through app stores.
