A prominent German university required a new high-performance computing (HPC) cluster to support its advanced research in machine learning for chemistry and molecular dynamics simulations. Its challenges included an exponentially growing demand for computing power to handle large datasets and complex physical models. To meet this need, the university partnered with Aivres for a GPU-accelerated AI server solution.

Aivres provided a tailored HPC solution using its KR4288 and KR4268 AI servers, optimizing the configuration to maximize performance and minimize cost. The implementation included A100 GPUs for molecular dynamics nodes and A40 GPUs for machine learning nodes. This solution greatly enhanced the university's research capabilities, with a floating-point performance that exceeded expectations by 115% and an optimized HPL test result of 91TFLOPS, which was a 15% performance boost over the initial benchmark.
