Ometria, an AI-powered customer marketing platform, needed to gather, unify, and analyze large volumes of customer data while reducing latency, cost, and instability caused by spiky traffic on their AWS RDS PostgreSQL setup. Seeking better performance and cost-efficiency, Ometria chose Aiven—initially adopting Aiven for PostgreSQL (and later Aiven for Elasticsearch, with plans to use Aiven for Kafka) to address their database and logging needs.

Aiven delivered instances with local SSDs and managed services that dramatically improved reporting speed, cut infrastructure costs by avoiding constant overprovisioning, and removed much of the maintenance burden through automated upgrades and management. The change made reporting noticeably faster (Ometria estimates it saved customers the equivalent of "2.6 years of staring at a loading spinner"), enabled them to win larger clients, and supported rapid business growth, with Aiven central to these gains.
