Case Study: NetSpyGlass simplifies and scales network monitoring with Aiven (PostgreSQL & Kafka)

A Aiven Case Study

Preview of the NetSpyGlass Case Study

NetSpyGlass partners with Aiven for simplicity and scale

NetSpyGlass is a small, cloud-native network monitoring automation company that combines data from many device vendors into a customizable monitoring platform. Faced with a brittle, self-managed stack (Redis, PostgreSQL, MySQL, InfluxDB, Kafka) and limited engineering capacity, NetSpyGlass needed to simplify operations, speed experiments, and meet SLAs—so they turned to Aiven for managed services including InfluxDB, PostgreSQL and Kafka.

By adopting Aiven’s managed PostgreSQL and Kafka (provisioned via Terraform), NetSpyGlass dramatically shortened its innovation cycle and operational overhead: provisioning a new service now takes about 15–20 minutes end-to-end. Aiven enabled easier benchmarking, reduced the need for in‑house expertise, and inspired NetSpyGlass to build a similar self‑service deployment model, improving speed, reliability and scalability.
