Case Study: Talon. One achieves scalable, high-availability, low-maintenance database infrastructure with Aiven

A Aiven Case Study

Preview of the Talon. One Case Study

Aiven manages hundreds of database servers for Talon. One

Talon. One, a marketing‑tech company that provides configurable promotion campaigns, needed sub‑second, highly available and isolated PostgreSQL databases for each customer to prevent noisy‑neighbor effects and to handle flood‑and‑trickle traffic patterns. Building and managing hundreds of modern, highly available database servers in‑house — while meeting compliance and regional deployment needs — was impractical, so Talon. One selected Aiven’s managed DBaaS for PostgreSQL.

Aiven provisions dedicated Postgres instances in the cloud/region closest to each customer, allowing Talon. One to scale up/down, change clouds or regions, and offload maintenance and compliance. The solution enabled Talon. One to support ~100 corporate customers with databases up to 1 TB and roughly 60 million API calls per month per customer, greatly reduced operational overhead for their small team, improved security and compliance, and accelerated expansion into new markets — all powered by Aiven.
