Warter Priory Estate, a large 12,000-acre farming and shooting operation in East Yorkshire, needed a better way to manage security and staff accountability across its many buildings and doors. With a traditional lock-and-key system, the estate struggled with lost keys, costly lock replacements, and no reliable way to track who was where during the day. AIT was brought in to deliver an access control solution using SALTO ProAccess SPACE software and SALTO XS4 hardware.

AIT implemented the system in phases, combining online and offline handles, electronic cylinders, padlocks, and RFID bracelets, fobs, and ID cards to suit different users and locations across the estate. The result was real-time access control, a complete audit trail, faster response to lost credentials, improved staff safety, and the elimination of lock replacement costs. AIT also integrated the alarm system, and after a three-month proof of concept, Warter Priory rolled out 35 doors in phase two with the final phase planned for a new warehouse facility.
