Case Study: Bodleian Libraries improves print access and control with AIT managed print

A AIT Case Study

Preview of the Bodleian Libraries Case Study

Improving education through innovation

The University of Oxford’s Bodleian Libraries needed a simpler, more unified printing and copying experience for more than 30,000 users across 29 libraries. Their existing environment was fragmented, with multiple suppliers, different charging systems, and limited access to colour printing and scanning. Vendor AIT, working on managed print services, mobile printing software, and pull-printing, was brought in to create a universal solution.

AIT implemented a web-based mobile and pull-printing system with a single online account for print, copy, and scan services, plus self-service top-ups and secure release at any MFP using a card or username. The result was improved access, stronger security and accountability, better reporting, and faster service across all libraries, with users now able to print from mobile devices and collect jobs from any site.
