Kat The Label Unlocks the US Fashion Market With Influencers, Localisation and Automation

Kat The Label, an Australian eCommerce lingerie brand founded in 2015, was growing its global business but struggling with costly foreign exchange fees, awkward cross-border payments, and the need to manage multiple currencies for suppliers and wholesalers. Using Airwallex’s Payments, Business Account, and Spend products, they needed a simpler way to retain and move USD while supporting expansion in the US and other markets.

Airwallex solved this by giving Kat The Label Global Accounts to hold USD, pay suppliers in China directly, and receive payments from overseas customers and wholesalers without constant currency conversion. Airwallex also integrated with Shopify and enabled Klarna, helping increase conversions and average order value, while Corporate Cards and expense tools reduced transaction fees and made spending easier to manage. The result was faster supplier payments, quicker product lead times, smoother wholesaler onboarding, and more efficient international operations.
