Case Study: UCSD achieves secure wireless classroom presentations with Airtame

A Airtame Case Study

Preview of the UCSD Case Study

UCSD Tech upgrades at the School of Global Policy and Strategy

UCSD’s School of Global Policy and Strategy needed a better way to support BYOD classrooms and modernized meeting spaces while reducing the IT burden on their CTO. Their old setup relied on projectors and long HDMI cables, which created frequent setup issues, cable failures, and ongoing support calls, all while requiring strong network security for the campus environment.

To solve this, UCSD deployed Airtame’s wireless presentation system across its renovated classrooms and meeting rooms, integrating it with the school’s WPA2-secure network. Airtame gave teachers, students, and guests an easy-to-use screen-sharing option, eliminated many cable-related problems, and allowed existing devices to keep receiving updates without replacement. The result was a more flexible, secure, and low-maintenance AV experience, with 15 Airtame devices deployed across 8 offices.
